A Day of Fun...

Recently, our family joined the homeschool ministry at our church.  We just went on our first field trip with a group of families from BBC.  We were able to visit the Chick-Fil-A in South Asheville.  (Side note: all Chick-Fil-As are wonderful restaurants, but the one is South Asheville is by far the friendliest, kindest, and most accommodating!).  Here, a fantastic lady gave us the history of Chick-Fil-A, information about Truett Cathy and the menu, taught the kids how to make lemonade, gave a behind-the-counter-tour, and gave them treat bags with a coupon for a free meal as well as a free dessert!  If you haven't tried them yet, their cookies are AWESOME!

After our visit to Chick-Fil-A, I decided to keep the day of fun going.  The kids had earned several coupons for Fun Depot from church, the dentist, and baseball.  I told them we would go to Fun Depot, but we were only using the coupons.  When that was complete, we were leaving, no fits allowed.  The kids agreed to the terms, and we went off to Fun Depot.  I have to brag on the staff there...every single person was so helpful.  The establishment was unbelievably clean for a place covered with kids.  The three of us played a round of indoor putt-putt.  Then, the kids played mini-bowling, rode the bumper cars, and played a video game.  When we spent our last coupon, we left, and the kids were fabulous.  I cannot say it enough...I am so blessed to be a parent to Cecely and Titus.  They are great kiddos!
